In addition to announcements for the stealing GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs, Nvidia today introduced a suite of new streaming features under the generic name of Nvidia Broadcast, as well as a new gaming enhancement, Nvidia Reflex. .
For famous streamers and wannabes,
Broadcast can upgrade the current streaming equipment you have and replace the bits you don’t. These include a fully digital green screen called Virtual Background Effects, as well as background noise filtering for the microphone (“Audio Noise Removal”) and automatic camera head detection.
Nvidia Broadcast will be available for download this month and is compatible with any GeForce RTX GPU.

Nvidia Broadcast’s virtual background effects in action.
The most eye-catching of these features is virtual background effects. Many dedicated game streamers use a physical green screen in the background of the camera setup, which allows them to change the background to any image, position, or game of their choice. Nvidia’s development takes the need for a physical green screen out of the equation, allowing you to blur the background, turn it into an image, or stream your game live behind you with the camera focused on you.

The digital green screen can also broadcast your game live as a wallpaper.
Audio noise cancellation, on the other hand, is self-explanatory. Using AI learning, audio noise cancellation removes the background noise your microphone normally picks up, turning it off for those on the other side so they only hear your voice as expected.
Whether it’s talking in the background, a dog barking or ringing a doorbell,
audio noise cancellation will remove these sounds so your friends or viewers can hear you clearly. This is similar to what the company achieved with RTX Voice, which is now also implemented in its GTX GPU series for non-GeForce RTX users who want to try it out.

Auto Frame also uses Nvidia’s AI to automatically track your head with the camera. The company describes it as having your own virtual cameraman, keeping your face in the center of the frame as you move. Not all streamers would like it, but it’s an option that can be turned on like any other.
Reflex: an instant boost for GeForce gamers?
All these features of Nvidia Broadcast can be implemented in conference calls or voice conversations with your friends; they’re not just for Twitch streams. However, the other feature announced by Nvidia, Reflex, is definitely for gaming.
