Alex Dickerson scored three home runs and tied a career record with six RBIs, highlighting one of the greatest offensive shows of all time at Coors Field as the San Francisco Giants beat the Colorado Rockies 23- 5 Tuesday evening.
Brandon Crawford also homed between his three hits and had six RBIs.
Donovan Solano had four hits and six RBIs. Brandon Belt and Joey Bart added three shots apiece while the Giants tallied 27 total shots and scored in every inning except the ninth, winning for the tenth time in 13 games.
The 23 runs were the third most authorized by the Rockies in team history.
The Chicago Cubs scored 26 against Colorado on August 18, 1995 and the Cincinnati Reds scored 24 on May 19, 1999. The Giants’ 27 shots were the Rockies’ most awarded seconds, tying the Cubs’ total in the game. 1995.
Giants owner Kevin Gausman (2-2) completed five innings and conceded two hits and two runs, both from Garrett Hampson’s solo homers.
Receiver Drew Butera pitched the last two innings for the Rockies.
It was the seventh career appearance for the incumbent and the first since 2018 as a member of the Kansas City Royals.
Dickerson kicked off his show of power – the first multihomer game of his career – with a massive solo first inning that landed in third deck facing straight court. Jon Gray’s 480-foot (2-4) run was a Giants’ longest home run since at least 2015.
He followed with a two-run practice in the second inning and a three-run homerun against Jairo Diaz in the sixth inning of the Giants’ seven runs, their biggest of the night. Crawford also had a three-run homer in the sixth.
Dickerson doubled up and scored between his last two home runs, drew in the eighth inning and doubled up on the Butera center court warning track in the ninth.

Giants: LHP Drew Smyly, sidelined for a sprained index finger, was due to visit the alternate site in Sacramento on Tuesday to kick off live batting practice. RHP Jeff Samardzija also faced thugs as he returned from a fiery shoulder. … RHP Reyes Moronta, recovering from right shoulder surgery, was scheduled for a paddock session in Sacramento on Tuesday with the hope of live batting practice by the end of the week. Manager Gabe Kapler remained optimistic that Moronta will pitch for the Giants this season.
