The Phillies loaded up goals without a strike in the first inning against right-footed Trent Thornton and, unlike Wednesday’s game in Boston, they were able to capitalize. They scored seven points on six shots in the frame, with RBI of Didi Gregorius, Alec Bohm, Neil Walker, Andrew Knapp and Andrew McCutchen.
McCutchen came up with a shattered inning, hitting a brace with two basic kills over the head of right fielder Teoscar Hernandez.
At the end of the round, Vince Velasquez gave Hernandez a two-house homerun to cut the Phillies lead to 7-2.
After an eventful first round, the game stabilized until the end of the fourth.
Velasquez conceded just one runner on base after the first run, and the combination of Jacob Waguespack and Shun Yamaguchi did enough to keep the Phillies off the scoreboard.
The Phillies threatened Yamaguchi in the start of the fifth.
Bryce Harper and Alec Bohm both walked, but Bruce and Walker knocked to complete the frame.
After knocking out the team in the bottom of the fifth, Velasquez stayed in the game and gave up a long homerun to Rowdy Tellez to make a 7-3 play. Velasquez then left the game after giving up a single to Hernandez. Man Utd captain Maguire arrested after
Connor Brogdon came in to replace Velasquez and, after beating Vladimir Guerrero Jr.,
gave Lourdes Gurriel Jr. a three-run homerun that reduced the Phillies’ lead to one.
Hector Neris came in with just one knockout in the sixth and pitched well enough to come out with the Phillies still in the lead. But mistakes from Scott Kingery and Didi Gregorius, followed by a crazy shot from Neris, led the Blue Jays to tie the game at 7.
Tellez, who hit home runs to start the inning, was selected in the middle to score two runs and give the Blue Jays a 9-7 lead before Neris ruled in favor of Reggie McClain, who finished the inning without more. pity.

Trent Thornton: 2/3 IP, 5 H, 6 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, 0 HR
It was a tough game for Thornton, who came out after just recording two strikeouts. Some of the Phillies’ hits are bloops that have fallen, but some have been hit hard. The Blue Jays’ launch went well once Thornton left the game, allowing for a combined total of just two points earned from four hits.
Velasquez wins: 5 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 2 HR, 79 moves
After losing a homerun in the first heat, it looked like it could be more or less the same for Velasquez, who has struggled so far this season. He then settled in, conceding just one hit in his next four innings of work, and it looked like an encouraging start. But Velasquez came out in sixth place and opened the door for the Blue Jays’ return.
